Meet Pastor Christine
Associate Pastor for Music & Outreach

Pastor Christine Belfrey Johnson is a 2020 M.Div. graduate of Luther Seminary, and most recently served as Interim Pastor at Christ Lutheran Church in Blaine and prior to that as the Interim Pastor at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi. Pr. Christine has served as a Global Musician Educator for the ELCA Churchwide. She has led worship as a musician and as a Sunday School Minister at Redeemer Lutheran in north Minneapolis and Key of Faith Pentecostal church. In addition, Pr. Christine served as the Diversity Coordinator at Luther Seminary. 

Prior to attending seminary, Pr. Christine had a career in education and holds a Masters Degree in Education from St. Mary’s University, along with a post-Graduate in K-8 Communication Literature Arts from Concordia St. Paul and a Bachelors in Mass Media Arts from Clark Atlanta University. In addition, she is a songwriter, author, and owner of Belfrey Books.

​Pr. Christine has four wonderful children. Imani (23) who loves to spend her time as a musician and artist when not a nanny. Caleb (16), and twins Ellis (14) and Issa (14) who all attend school in Hopkins. Caleb loves writing, both boys love basketball, while Issa enjoys gymnastics and art. Give Issa a piece of paper and some tape and she can create anything.
