Palm Sunday / Domingo de Ramos
April 13, 2025 | 11:15AM We begin Holy Week with a palm procession and the proclamation of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem from the gospel according to St. Matthew. We gather on the front steps of St. Paul's-San Pablo for the blessing of the palms and then process to Lake Street for our yearly peace walk offering prayers and song along the way. |
Maundy Thursday / Jueves Santo
April 17, 2025 | 6:30PM Join St. Paul's-San Pablo and Calvary Lutheran for a simple meal shared with our friends from St. Paul's Home Apartments. Following our meal, we gather for confession and absolution to mark the end of our Lenten observance which began on Ash Wednesday with the marking of ashes and our confession of sin. On this night after hearing Jesus' command to love one another. As Psalm 88 is sung we strip the altar remembering that Christ walked from the meal to his suffering and death. |
Good Friday / Viernes Santo
April 18, 2025 | 7:00PM Join St. Paul's-San Pablo as we gather in silence to hear of Christ's suffering on the cross. We lift up prayers for the church and the world, remembering the encompassing love of Jesus for this fallen world. |
